AWE ILLUSTRATIONS

AWE Illustrations core objectives—AMUSE, WOW, and ENGAGE—serve as guiding principles, ensuring that each illustration not only entertains but also stimulates the imagination. I strive to create artwork that resonates emotionally and intellectually, drawing viewers into a world that is both familiar and wonderfully strange.

The vibrant and bold background colours in our pieces create an energetic backdrop, while stripes and text are artfully combined with checks and dots, generating a playful visual rhythm. This interplay of shapes and colours contributes to a striking aesthetic that is instantly recognisable. The clever use of blurring alongside sharp definitions in our illustrations creates a sense of depth and movement, allowing for a delightful juxtaposition that enhances the overall impact of the scenes.

Signature themes like EXIT, Fish Face, GAZE, and the Flowers series each present an exploration of the extraordinary, offering unique perspectives that challenge conventional perceptions.

These series are designed to intrigue and inspire, inviting viewers to look beyond the surface and uncover the fascinating narratives woven into each piece. Through this diverse and imaginative body of work, AWE Illustrations continues to push the boundaries of digital art, crafting experiences that are not only visually stunning but also thought-provoking and memorable.

Original Art pieces, Archival Paper and Aluminium Digital prints

Choosing the right art paper is crucial for anyone looking to preserve their Art pieces long-term. Archival art paper, especially cotton rag paper, offers several benefits that make it our preferred choice.

Longevity: Archival papers are designed to withstand the test of time. They resist fading and deterioration, enabling artwork to maintain its vibrancy for decades.

Texture and Feel: Cotton rag paper offers a unique texture that enhances the appearance of prints. The soft, textured surface adds depth and richness, creating a luxurious finish. This tactile quality complements fine art prints beautifully, engaging viewers and enhancing their experience.

Environmental Impact: Made from cotton leftovers, archival cotton rag paper is more eco-friendly than traditional wood pulp paper. It supports sustainable practices by minimising waste while providing exceptional quality.

Colour Reproduction: One of the most remarkable aspects of printed art is colour accuracy. Archival cotton rag paper works well with high-quality inks to deliver stunning colour output. This kind of paper absorbs ink in a way that enhances saturation, thus ensuring that the printed artwork looks just as vibrant as it does in its original form.

“I love creating artwork digitally as it allows me to work rapidly on several elements of an idea and push and pull it into focus until I have the result I am looking for. I can create multiple variations and scale to fit the product I am working on whether it be a large-scale artwork or a small compact image to fit on an item such as a keyring tag. All my artwork is in transition which means that it is considered finished up to the point that my skills and ideas are developed when it is conceived. As my skills grow, I often revisit an idea or theme and continue to improve upon or steer the image in another direction”. Nicky Allen - Content creator

"AWE Illustrations uses 100% Cotton Rag Matt paper for the very best in fine art printing. The textured surface grain becomes an integral part of the image, adding dimension and enhancing lighter printed areas".
